Betrayed by best friend over a girl, and we are room mates next year?

Question

Long story short, one of my best friends knew I liked a girl and things did not work about between us. However, we remained friends because we are all in the same friend circle and now he comes and tells me that they are both going out. This happened behind my back and I said that I was not cool with this; it was a betrayal of trust and have not spoken to him since. Now, this kid, me and 2 of our other friends are going to live together next year and my room mates are asking us to at least start talking and figure things out because it will make the house next year difficult. I don't know how to proceed and cannot decide what to do and based on his situation don't know how to deal with my friends who I have to live with next year also.

If you did date her and then broke up..then he started with her unless he was TRYING to get her while she was with you it isn't a betrayal of your trust.



If she didn't go with you and went with him instead...well...what can you do about that? be pssed at your friend cause she happens to like him differently?





It feels weird I know but he's your boy and she's just some girl and their will be alot more in your life that you will forget all about her.

You've said that although you liked her things did not work out between you. I think that most people can appreciate how you might feel but it's time to get past this and move ahead. It's not unusual for a girl to like one of your friends more than she likes you nor is it unusual for a friend to like her as well...th9ink about you. You're friends and probably have many similarities. The same holds true for him as far as what types of girls he prefers...it's very common that two similar guys can like the same girl. Next year will take care of itself.
