Which pays off more in life? My friend and I were having an argument at school today about which is a more valuable asset in life. I'm smarter than him, but he's more athletic, and he gave me crap about it. What's your opinion?

I have no idea what topic to post this under..

Depends on what field you want to get into. If someone is athletic and very fit but incredably stupid, they will not go far in life without being ripped off, their job prospects are limited to fitness fields etc. Intelligence will open a lot more doors for you, the diversity of employment will be wider, Using your brain generally pays more money, unless you are tiger woods, roger federer, etc. How many Footballers go onto become Brain surgeons, astronauts, etc. Besides, the brain generally lasts a lot longer than athleticism. Now if you combine the attributes of intelligence and athleticism, you have the possibility to go a long way.

Well, I'm both so I can tell you, both are very good assets. Being athletic, if you're good enough can get you college scholarships, but so can being smart. Being smart give you a better chance at getting into the college of your choice, but so does being athletic. It's kind of even. Both are really good and I don't believe either is better. Hope that helps :)

Mm I think smart is better. Brain over matter. It also depends what kind of smart. If you are both book smart and street smart you can get really far in life. Also is easier to become more athletic you could start working out, people can be smarter but it is really difficult.

My personal opinion is that it's best to be smart but at the same time you need to take part in some type of physical activity, just so you can be healthy. Yeah, it's great to take part in athletics, but i mean the chances of anyone having that as a career is small. Being educated will provide you with a large variety of opportunities and paths . So i think a mixture of both is best.

Smart...and athletic

Like exercise a little everyday, and don't waste your time doing your homework on the couch while weighing like 300000 lbs and eating another Big Mac. That's just growse.

But smart comes first, why do you think we're humans?

Intelligence, you don't make REAL friends by making touchdowns.
