Last week Saturday, some friends and me were going out to a party that was organized by the volunteers of the civil protection service. They needed funds to deal with the victims of the last flooding.

I saw my girlfriend (well, ex-girlfriend) cheating on me with my best friend. I was so enraged, I drank down a whole bucket of dark brown beer in one go. Normally I don't drink at all, so you can know how I reacted. I barfed the whole table under (maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration) and it went black before my eyes.

Next thing I know, we're eight hours later, and I'm in my best friends house, and she's sitting on a chair in front of the couch I'm lying in. My head hurt like hell, and I had trouble getting up. She had to support me while again I had to throw up. And she kept patting my back, saying all would be well in a few hours. She just took very good care of me. No matter how hard I cursed, or how much I threw up, she just sat there with this worrying look, constantly watching me, and yet sometimes smiling as well. She took the next day off from work (she's a nurse, working in the hospital) and phoned my workplace as well, saying I was ill.

Now we're a week further, and every day she sends me several messages asking me if I am ok. I would like to return the favor, for all the trouble I caused her, but I'm not waiting till she drinks down a bucket of dark brown beer. Any suggestions as how I could show her my gratitude ?

If you think she is cute ask her out to dinner to thank her. Like say (I would like to thank you for taking care of me the other day, can I take you out to dinner?) If not just tell her thank you in person and, saying you were going through a rough time that night.

take out for lunch, and say i wanted to thank you for what you did for me.

oh and make sure its to a restaurant she likes. or her favorite one if you happened to know which one it is. nothing to expensive but still nice, no fast food places.

Propose her and then just say thanks
