Friend that I have not spoken to in 6 months just randomly messages me?

We were best friends and then out of nowhere he stops texting me, for all I know our friendship is totally ruined

I have not heard from him in several months now I thought he was pissed at me or something, but now he just randomly messages me "yo dude meet me at my place now!"...wtf? I haven't heard from him in 6 months and he just randomly messages me at 12 midnight on tuesday telling me to meet him at his house what do you think is up, what should I say back

This dude is just using his friends for entertainment. That is why he is being demanding and controlling. He is aware that he has not spoken to you in 6 months. People do that all the time but they approach you politely and ask how you have been and are upfront about being absent for so long. They do not text late at night demanding you entertain them like some clown. They are bored and they ALREADY, understand that I am saying they ALREADY texted/called everyone else and no one bothered to deal with them so now he is looking for friends he abandoned to entertain him.



You decide if you want to see them tonight but i have been around people like this my whole life. If you dont think I am being truthful, try an experiment: just go over, play it cool like nothing is bugging you and see how long it takes for them to ignore you again and text you late at night demanding you hang out to occupy them until work or whatever responsibility tomorrow.



I understand you feel like you lost a friend and here is a good opportunity to make friends again but be careful with who you let into your life. Friends don't keep you guessing and on your toes. That is messed up and really disrespectful. You have other friends and plenty of options for more friends. Decide if you want to hang out with this person. And be honest, think back, how many times has this person been manipulative, secretive, back stabbing or just weird and off putting? People like that have a history of using people for some type of short term gain.
