Start by calling your parents. Just call to say your sorry about the earlier incident, let them know your having other problems and get off the phone as fast as possible so you don't start another fight. They will most likely say they are sorry to and that will make your day a little better. You won't win everything from your day so start with one.

You can go to bed: there's no rule against it! Lying still in a quiet, darkened room always helps to me to relieve stress and kind of 'reset' myself. It might also help you to ward off your cold if you drink plenty of fluid and get some rest. Just write off today as a bad job and start over tomorrow. Tonorrow is another day, as they say.

Alternatively you could identify the problems that you can do something about and take action to fix them: start your paper, go buy some cold medicine, or work out a way to get a new phone, which could be as simple as taking it back to the shop if it is not your fault it has broken. There is always something you can do to change your situation.

I think you need some fresh air and a long walk. Then, some cookies and that good movie. Sounds like you need some mindless down time but the exercise and air during the walk will help a LOT.

I took myself for a bike ride this morning and felt a lot better! Crap week at work last week and I was "wallowing" in it. Decided to get out and do that and WOW, much better.

...and, a nice cup of tea for that cold.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm trying to answer that question for myself right now. My boyfriend of one year is being a jerk, and refuses to sleep with me. We just got into a HUGE fight and there's a birthday party going on here for a 12 year old. I can't even really enjoy it, because I'm in such a funk right now. Every time I look at him, I just want to dive on him (and I don't mean that in a good way). I hate trying to smile when I'm dying inside. I'm taking some time to myself for the moment, it's the only thing I know how to do during times like this. Good luck my friend.

Listen to some music really loud, then start to turn it to more peaceful songs as you calm down. After go watch a comedy with a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

aw, yepp. Ive had PLENTY of those days. Just remember, a better day always has to follow a bad day. Chin up and smile, there's got to be something exciting around the corner to think about!

pot...porn....alcohol...i could go on but honestly...life is too short to want even one day of it to be over. do something you love...use ur negative energy and convert it into something you enjoy. a good hard run in the summer heat will leave you feeling hot sweaty and tired...but its better than feeling down :)
