Is it just me or do you think this is fricken messed up!?

ok so my friend calls me at 3:30 and asks if we wanna go hang out with the guy i like. So of course i agree but i'm doing my homework and i need to finish it like pronto so i tell her i'll call her when i'm done, right!? ok so i finally finish it at 5:00 and remember i told her it would take awhile! ok. so i go call her back and i'm like ok so should we hang out now? and she's like "well it's too late now!" and i was like "well i just finished and you said we'd hang out when i'm done." and she's like "well now i need to hang out with my family... blah blah fricken blah" she says it in a way rude way and i was SO nice to her today! i don't fricken get it!?! what the heck is that rude and messed up or am i overreacting. it happened a total of like 5 minutes ago! I'M SO PISSED!!!!!!

you and your friend were both kind of overreacting. she should have told you what time you needed to call, but you shouldn't have gotten mad at her for hanging out with her family. just wait a few days and then make up with her.

she probably thought "a while" was like a half hour. also, maybe her mom went on one of those "family time" rants about how they dont spend enough time together (my mom does that ALL THE FRICKEN TIME) so she cant. its probably not her fault.
